BROOKFIELD-Mr. Ronald K. Faber of Brookfield passed away peacefully on Saturday afternoon September 24, 2016 at the Cleveland Clinic from Pancreatic Cancer which was diagnosed two weeks ago. He was sixty-seven years old.
Ron was born in Sharon on February 4, 1949 a son of the late Michael and Clara (Young) Faber. He was a 1968 graduate of Brookfield High School and would go on to marry his love the former Faith Zahuranec on July 25, 1970. Together they have shared forty-six years of marriage and their three children Michael, Daniel, and Sarah.
Mr. Faber worked as an assembler for the former Packard Electric in Warren, OH for over thirty-four years before his retirement. He was a lifelong member of the Masury United Methodist Church and a longtime member of the Shenango Valley Corvette Club.
Ron was avid gardener and kept his home and lawn in impeccable condition and was known for running five miles every other day. He enjoyed coaching Pee Wee Football when his children were young with the help of his father. Ron loved caring for his corvette, the Cleveland Browns as well watching college football especially during all of the bowl games. He cherished his grandchildren and loved watching them as well as visiting with them whenever possible.
He leaves behind to cherish her memories his wife Faith; his sons Michael Faber and his wife Catherine of Cuyahoga Falls, OH, Dan Faber of League City, TX; daughter Sarah Nash and her husband Billy of Richmond, TX; seven grandchildren Mikey, Emma, Maggie Faber, Caden, Kamryn Faber, Addison, and Mason Nash; brother Michael Faber and his wife Carol of Dayton, OH; and by his sister Nancy McFarland of Brookfield, OH.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Friends may visit on Wednesday evening from 6:00-8:00PM at the Sample-O’Donnell Funeral Home 555 East State Street Sharon, PA.
Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Thursday morning beginning at 11:00AM with Rev. Jared Woodward, Pastor of Masury United Methodist Church officiating.
Burial will take place at the Brookfield Township Cemetery.
