Maxine L. Miller of Sharon, passed away on Saturday January 20, 2018 at Nugent’s CCRC in Hermitage. She was seventy-nine years old.
She was born in East Brady, PA on September 10, 1938 a daughter of Melvin and Robina C. (Adams) Lewis. Maxine attended Sharon School and married Clyde R. Miller on March 29, 1963.
Mrs. Miller had worked for Packard Electric, National Castings, and most recently the Sharon School District. The majority of her life though she was a dedicated wife, mother, and grandmother to her beloved family. She was a devoted member of Sheepfold Ministries in Sharon where she had served as an Elder. She also enjoyed roses and flower gardening.
She leaves behind her son Paul Dilts and his wife Debra of Sharon; daughters Linda Wolfe and her husband David of Jamestown, Irene Getway and her husband David of Sharpsville; brother Melvin Lewis of Mckeesport; sister Donna Sternthal of Sharon; eight beloved grandchildren and her new great-granddaughter.
Mrs. Miller was preceded in death by her husband Clyde, and her sisters Jennie LaRue and Nancy Schuster.
Friends may call on Tuesday evening January 23, 2018 from 5:00-7:00PM at the Sample-O’Donnell Funeral Home 555 East State Street Sharon, PA 16146.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday morning at 11:00AM at the funeral home with Rev. Philip Roland, Pastor of Sheepfold Ministries in Sharon, officiating.
Burial will take place at Oakwood Cemetery.
The family wishes to extend their gratitude to Dr. David D’Amore and the staff of Nugent’s CCRC for the wonderful care that was provided for mom during her time with them.
