Marjorie M. Rodgers, of Masury passed away on Wednesday April 25, 2018 at O'Brien Memorial Health Care Center in Masury following an extended illness. She was ninety-three years old.
She was born in Brookfield on June 12, 1924 the daughter of the late Glade and Mae (Hamlin) Clark. Marge attended Brookfield Schools and during World War II she worked as a true “Rosie the Riveter” for Westinghouse in Sharon where she had soldered torpedo motors.
She married William Schuster Sr. in 1946 and together they would share three children William Jr., Kathleen, and Cynthia. Marge had worked for several restaurants in the Brookfield-Hubbard over the years as a waitress, cook, and lastly as a hostess at Denny’s. She loved her animals, flowers, gardening, and her clock collection.
Marge’s memory will live on through her son William H. Schuster Jr. and his wife Sandra of Masury, OH, Cynthia O’Brien and her husband Doyle of Fredonia, PA, four grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands William Schuster Sr. and Teddy V. Rodgers, her daughter Kathleen Price, granddaughter Amy Price-Davis, and by her sisters Lois Stitt and Ruth Wray.
A funeral service will be held at 12:00PM on Saturday at the Sample-O’Donnell Funeral Home 555 East State Street Sharon, PA 16146. Friends may call one hour prior to the start of the service.
Burial will take place Mount Washington Cemetery in Jefferson Twp..
