Katharine C. Elliott

HERMITAGE – Ms. Katharine C. Elliott, of Hermitage passed away unexpectedly on Sunday August 6, 2017 at her home.  She was seventy-seven years old.

She was born in Sharon, PA on September 10, 1939, the only daughter of James Arthur and Ruth Katharine (MacMullan) Elliott.  Katharine was a 1957 graduate of Hickory High School and also an alumnus of Robert Morris University.

Ms. Elliott worked as an accountant for General Foods, Elliott and Finucane, Goddard, Thomas in Youngstown, OH, as well as Dunbar Slag.

Kate leaves behind to cherish her memory her sisters-in-law Rosemary Elliott of Duxbury, MA and Roberta Elliott of New Sewickley Twp., PA; her five nieces and two nephews whom she adored; eight great-nephews and six great-nieces complete her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers David Arthur Elliott and John Edward Elliott, and by her nephew David Arthur Elliott.

Funeral services will begin at 12:00PM on Friday August 11, 2017 at the Sample-O’Donnell Funeral Home 555 East State Street Sharon, PA 16146. Friends may call one hour prior to the start of the services

A private interment will take place at Oakwood Cemetery next to her parents.

As an expression of sympathy and in lieu of flowers, donation’s may be made in Kate’s memory to the American Lung Association care of the funeral home.
