F. Leo Ryan

HERMITAGE- Francis Leo Ryan 91, formerly of Hermitage, passed away on Saturday morning January 18, 2020 at O'Neill Healthcare in Bay Village, Ohio.

He was born in Sharon, PA on June 8, 1928 and was raised by his mother Grace and her husband Charles Otte.

Leo was alumni of Sharon High School and Youngstown State University. He was a Professional Engineer by trade and had owned and operated his own company F.L.R. Engineering.  Leo also operated F. Leo Ryan Insurance Company with State Farm for many years.

He will be sadly missed by his children Dennis L. Ryan and his fiancé Sharon Fain of Lorain, OH, David M. Ryan and his wife Cheri of Sweet Valley, PA and Susan D. Ryan and her husband Sean of Fort Wayne, IN; and by his seven grandchildren Caitlyn, Michael, John, James, Peter, Morgan, and Kylie.

He was preceded in death by his wife Dolores F. Ryan (Lovie) of nearly sixty-six years who passed March 15, 2016.

In accordance with Leo’s wishes a private gathering for his family will be held at the Sample-O'Donnell Funeral Home in Sharon, PA.

Entombment will take place at St. Rose Cemetery in Hermitage.
