Emmanuel "Gizmo" B. Marshall Sr.

MASURY-Emmanuel “Gizmo” B. Marshall, Sr., of 8070 Davis St., Masury, Ohio departed this life on Saturday evening, November 3, 2018 at Windsor House, at Liberty Health Care Center, Youngstown, OH after a brief illness.  He was eighty-six years old.

Mr. Marshall was born July 31, 1932 in Pittsburgh, PA to Robert Johnson and Harriett B. Marshall and had worked throughout his life as a truck driver.  He above all else was a devoted father to his family proudly following his children’s accomplishments in academics and athletics through the years.

Mr. Marshall is survived by a sister, Harriett V. Saunders, Sharon, PA; four daughters Benita J. Harris (Bo), Rock Hill, SC, Elthea Marshall, Farrell, PA, Elaina Marshall Ivery, Warren, OH, Erica I Holt (A.B. III), Dallas, TX; three sons Emmanuel B. Marshall, Jr. (Denise Odeniyi-Marshall), Harrisburg, PA, Nathan O. Marshall, Sharon, PA, and Michael S. Marshall (Yolanda), Farrell, PA; as well as 27 grandchildren, 60 great-grand children, and 8 great-great children.

The Rev. James C. Dixon, Pastor of Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church in Masury will preside over a memorial service honoring the life of Mr. Marshall which will be held on Friday, November 9, 2018 beginning at 11:00 AM in the Sample-O'Donnell Funeral Home 555 East State Street Sharon, Pennsylvania 16146.  Friends may call from 10:30AM until the time of the services in the funeral home.
