BROOKFIELD-Emily Spincic Tice, a beacon of love and faith, passed away in Phoenix, Arizona on January 20, 2024.
Born on April 13, 1936, in Brookfield, Ohio, to John and Verona Mosora, Emily's life was a testament to her unwavering faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. She was a source of comfort, serenity, and strength to her family and friends, embodying a spirit of grace and compassion.
Emily grew up in a large and loving family, with nine siblings. She shared a special bond with her seven siblings who reached adulthood: Mary (Homer) Knepshield, Lena (Dewey) Schell, John (Helen) Mosora, Jenny (Daniel) Bretfelian, Pete (Betty Lou) Mosora, Betty (Edward) Ulan, and Paul (Shirley) Mosora, all of whom preceded her in death.
A proud Brookfield Warrior, Emily graduated from Brookfield High School with the Class of 1954. Her career journey included roles at Westinghouse Electric and over 28 years in various capacities with Brookfield Schools, from cafeteria worker to support administration. Emily's love for her community was evident through her active participation in Brookfield events, where she and her beloved husband Walter were familiar, cherished faces.
Emily's philosophy that "strangers were just friends she hadn’t met yet" endeared her to many. Her love for people, especially children, left an indelible mark on the hearts of those she encountered.
Emily was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Walter Spincic. She leaves behind a legacy of love and dedication in their son, David (Rose) English, and Walter’s children Rosalyn (Glenn) Gault and Walter Spincic, her grandchildren Phillip (Deanna) Adkins, Mallory (RJ) Middleton, Glenn (Jessica) Gault, Clint (Alyssa) Gault, Meghann (Joe) Flynn, and Doug (Ashley) Gault. Emily's life blessed many, as evidenced by her 17 great-grandchildren.
A viewing will be held at the Sample-O’Donnell Funeral Home in Sharon from 5-8:00PM on Friday, February 9, 2024. In honor of Emily's profound love for the church and school, donations in her memory to either St. John’s Episcopal Church or Brookfield Local Schools are deeply appreciated.
A scripture close to Emily's heart, John 14:3, beautifully encapsulates her faith: “And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am.”
Emily's life was a journey of faith, love, and service. Her memory will continue to inspire those who were fortunate to know her, as she now rests in eternal peace.
