Donald R. Eiler

HARRISVILLE-Donald R. Eiler age 65, of Harrisville, PA passed away on Wednesday July 10, 2024 at Quality of Life in Grove City following a brief illness.

He was born in Butler on August 24, 1958 a son Donald R. and Janice L. (Bowser) Eiler.

Don married his sweetheart Charlene A. Walter on August 25, 1977. Together they would share forty-two years together before her passing on July 11, 2020. He retired as a foreman from Penn DOT in 2018 following 26 years of service. He was also the owner and operator of Eiler Excavating for more than 30 years.

He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, and enjoyed riding his side-by-side RZR with his family.

Don is survived by his son Jim Eiler and is Fiancé Natasha Surrena of Harrisville, PA, his grandchildren Brittany, Morgan, and Ryan Eiler, great-granddaughter Kinlee Boyles, and by his siblings Eric (Mindy) Eiler, Jay (Tracy) Eiler, Barry Eiler, Darla (Tom) Aughtin, and Bonnie (Chuck) Cooper.

In addition to his wife Charlene, he was preceded in death by his parents.

Private arrangements are being handled by the Sample-O’Donnell Funeral Home 555 East State Street Sharon, PA 16146.
