SHARON-Cynthia L. Davis, passed away peacefully on Saturday afternoon November 16, 2024 in the comfort of her home following a several year illness. 

Cindy was born in Sharon on September 1, 1952 the daughter of James N. and Julia M. (Abate) Davis.

She was an alumna of Sharon High School and furthered her education graduating from the American University College of Law in Washington D.C. and would practice for several years. Cindy later received her Doctorate of Ministry from Duke University and pastored at several churches with the United Methodist Church. She was also counselor and caseworker for the Pennsylvania Department of Welfare for fifteen years.

Cindy attended the former Oakland Avenue and Sharon First U. M.C. in Sharon. She was always a devoted reader, particularly enjoying many Science Fiction books as well as Star Trek, Star Wars, and Lord of the Rings.

She is survived by her husband James P. Douds whom she married December 16, 1995; her brothers James N. Davis II (Beth) of West Middlesex, Michael R. Davis of Las Vegas, Jason M. Davis (Amanda) of West Middlesex along with several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and by her in-laws Robert and Barbara Douds.

Funeral services will begin at 6:00PM on Wednesday evening at the Sample-O’Donnell Funeral Home 555 East State Street Sharon, PA. Friends may visit with her family beginning at 4:00PM until the time of the service.
