Mr. Charles Troutman of Homer Glen, Ill., formerly of Sharpsville, passed away on February 22, 2023, unexpectedly. He was 88 years old.
Charles was born March 12, 1934, the son of the late Charles and Gertrude (Kloss) Troutman.
He attended Hickory Township High School and went on to marry his sweetheart, Shirley J Murray, on June 20, 1959. He served in the US Army touring Germany. He was a 1973 graduate of Youngstown State University where he received his BA degree in accounting.
He was a long-time resident of Sharpsville before his retirement in 1996 from National Steel Castings and Malleable Co. with 43 years of service.
During retirement, Charles and his wife spent many years between Seneca, Ill, Leesburg, Fl, Homer Glen, Ill and Pennsylvania.
He enjoyed traveling, grilling, wood crafts, spending time with his family watching baseball games and especially loved the Cleveland Indians and Chicago Cubs.
Charles leaves behind his son, Fredrick (Lynn) Troutman of Homer Glen, Ill, his daughter, Kimberly (Sue) Bennett-Troutman of Streamwood, Ill, his grandchildren, Elliette and Murray, his sister, Phyllis Ryser and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Shirley J. Troutman, infant son and daughter, his parents, Charles and Gertrude (Kloss) Troutman, his niece Debbie Wittenauer.

A funeral service will begin at Noon on Saturday March 4, 2023 at the Sample-O’Donnell Funeral Home 555 East State Street Sharon, PA 16146 officiated by the Rev. Dr. Glenn M. Hink. Friends may visit with the family beginning at 10:00 until the start of the service.
Burial will follow at Morefield Cemetery.
